PhD Programs within BayNAT

The Bayreuth Graduate School of Mathematical and Natural Sciences (BayNAT) was founded in 2009 as a joint venture between the Department I (Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science) and the Department II (Biology, Chemistry and Geosciences) at the University of Bayreuth and will be open to scientists who are members of any department at the University of Bayreuth. The Graduate School is headed by a Dean and by an Associate Dean. The individual PhD programs are presided over by an Executive Board each - generally comprising three members, whose chair is the main person of contact for the respective PhD program.

Materials Chemistry and Catalysis
Molecular Biosciences
Ecology and Environmental Research
Computational Mathematics in Science and Engineering
Analysis, Algebra and Geometry
Soft Matter Physics, Nonlinear Dynamics and Solid State Physics
Photophysics of Synthetic and Biological Multichromophoric Systems
